Our History
NetSet Communications is a privately held telecommunications company providing next generation broadband services throughout the Province of Manitoba.
Formed in 2009, NetSet Communications is a collaborative undertaking of the Province's leading fixed wireless Internet Service Providers (ISP's). With the support of the Federal Government's Rural Broadband program and the Province of Manitoba, the company is deploying 4G WiMAX High Speed Internet and Data services to the currently under-serviced and un-served markets within Manitoba.
The New Standard in Broadband Services
4G WiMAX over Fibre Optic Cable and Licensed Microwave
The initial deployment is architected around the current WiMAX platform and is fully upgradeable to LTE Advanced, once the standards are ratified and available for use in Canada. The deployment of this new wireless broadband technology is the first in the Province and one of the first of its kind in North America. This new Wireless Broadband technology will help ensure that rural Manitoba continues to keep pace with the ever increasing dependency on global communications.
NetSet Communications is the ideal solution for government, commercial, and residential users. The new network extends services to previously un-served and under-served regions of the province and is engineered to meet the stringent demands of modern business operations. The broad coverage area makes this a great fit for multi-location enterprises.
